Burnt almond raspberry mascarpone cake

Recently, it was nurse appreciation week at my work, and I decided to bake a "Burnt Almond" cake. There are layers of moist fluffy white cake and luxurious vanilla pastry cream topped with a velvety soft mascarpone whipped cream frosting and raspberries. I decorated the sides with homemade crunchy caramelized almonds and topped it all with some deliciously tart-sweet raspberries. YUM!
